The Playground Workout
Forget about the Gym! Play in the park with your kids! Get Stronger, Healthier and Slimmer, all without ever leaving your kids in daycare or "stealing" time for yourself!
Why does working out mean being inside?
Why does working out mean forcing yourself to stick to a schedule?
Why does working out sound like working at all?
The Play Ground Workout was developed by Teja Van Wicklen, Creator of Mommy & Me Self Defense. As a 15 year veteran personal trainer and Physical Therapists Assistant, Teja could not find time to get back in shape when she had her little boy. She had been sick for a year and had lost muscle and undergone several surgeries. She was disillusioned and frustrated and began integrating short bouts of exercise throughout her day. It worked! Today Teja is in the best shape of her life.
When we were kids we just played. It was that simple. Ok, we had more time, more energy... more sleep! But these are all reasons for exercise to be fun and not another thing weighing you down.
Reasons to Play!
When you enjoy what you're doing your body creates happy hormones and chemicals
.....that give you more energy!
When you don't enjoy what you're doing your body creates stress hormones and
.....chemicals that drag you down!
There's lot's of new evidence showing that shorter bouts of exercise work better both
.....in terms of heart and lung health, strength and weight loss! See these articles:
You won't keep up what you don't like to do.
If you have schedule time away from your kids to work out you many never fit it in
And the list goes on...
If you're a new Mom trying to get your body back and can't find the time to get to a gym, give The Playground Workout a try.

" Physical strength and mental strength are connected.
Weakness in one area almost always directly effects the other."
